| I am finally finished with my degree! I nearly died about 3 times over. I can finally read non-law books (well, not exactly cause i'm reading Rumpole) I'm also hooked on Big Brother!
...and I miss Dave like mad! | | |
| The fear has yet to hit.
Revision has gone underway but it's not really happening as well as I'd like it to. I don't know about you but I function under this "work quota" system and I can't get rid of it.
Basically it's like I have a quota as to how much work I can do, and when I'm working towards my quota, I can work hella hardcore. But the moment this phase ends (say by handing in a dissertation) I have to slack for for like a month. And the only way to get back into the cycle is by getting slapped in the face by fear and panic.
So, can you please save my degree by sending me really panicky comments! I'd really appreciate it!
On a lighter note, I spend a week with Dave in Surrey and Macclesfield. It was amazing! We watched movies and had Easter eggs and had "Bop It" competitions! Thank you, Dave!!!
...but yeah, don't forget about the scary comments!!!

| Nostalgia.
Once again, I have failed my xanga site by not posting. ...I seem to only ever think about writing in my xanga when I feel nostalgic, but it might also be because I never seem to find the time to update in Durham.
When I go back to Durham, it will be ultra hardcore revision for me seeing as I barely did any in HK. It feels really weird knowing that these exams will be the last batch for this degree and that I'll be graduating soon. I always thought I'd feel ready and old enough when time came but I don't. Maybe no one does, I don't know...
I know many of you out there are in the same position as I am. Best of luck with revision and exams. Work your butts off and it will be worth it in the end. For those of you who still have a bit more to get through, best of luck! Graduation isn't really as far away as it might seem. Heads up, everyone!
Hope to see you all in the summer. ...I might even update before then

| So let's have a little discussion on how reliable English public transportation system is... Of all the days they could have picked to do engineering works on the rails, they pick the day all Durham students haul their belongings back to university. So instead of hopping on a train at King's Cross at 7am and arrive directly to Durham at 10am this is the route I ended up doing with a 34kg suitcase and a 7kg handcarry:
King's Cross to Stevenage (by train) Stevenage to Peterborough (by BUS) Peterborough to Darlington (by train) Darlington to Durham (by train)
...Oh, this is the best bit; the train from Peterborough to Darlington actually passed by Durham station but just chose not to stop there... so I ended up arriving at 4pm instead. If I try very hard to see the bright side of all of this, I got to visit a lot of train stations I probably will never go to!
It is undoubted that I eat a lot better in HK compared to England, but I never thought my body would outright reject college food the way it did last night. But I think I've got it out of my system now... it's best to get the whole being ill business out of the way early on in the term when I can afford to do it.
It's really great seeing everyone in Durham again ...really wish all my friends could be in one place though
Much love: Emma x
